COVID Procedures

Overview

Things have changed a lot since the pandemic started in early March 2020 but here at Holly Tree House we are keeping things as normal and familiar as possible for our guests. We have many repeat guests who come here to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the countryside . We are continuing to provide the same relaxed experience, whilst putting in the appropriate measures to help reduce the risk of our guests or us catching the virus here at Holly Tree House.

We have successfully applied for the Good to Go Industry Standard to show that we are following government guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing. A full risk assessment has been completed. PPE is available if needed.

Here is an outline of the procedures we’ve put in place. If you have any questions then please do get in touch.

Check In and Check Out

We will need to collect details of the lead guest who is staying. We will email you an online registration form prior to your arrival. Please note that we will comply with GDPR rules when storing and using your data. We have a QR code available in the hallway for you to scan with the NHS COVID19 App on your arrival. Please do this for each day you are here.

When you arrive, please stand back 2M from the door after ringing the bell. We will greet you wearing a mask/shield on arrival and we request you do too and also wear one in all public points whilst inside. If possible please can you settle your balance by BACS and I will email you an invoice with the details.

On departure, please vacate your room by 10.30 and leave all windows open.

I need to leave the room to air for at least an hour after you’ve departed before we can start cleaning. And cleaning is taking longer than usual! Please leave the key in the bedroom on departure so these can be sanitised.

Our B&B Rooms

Our 2 B&B rooms are both in the main house with a separate staircase used just by the guests.

We have always had a high standard of cleaning. We allow about 2 hours to changeover a room between guests! We will be following extra procedures such as steam cleaning soft furnishings, replacing mattress, pillow and duvet protectors at each changeover and using eco-friendly sanitising spray on high use touch points such as TV controls, light switches and door knobs each changeover.

To protect both our guests and ourselves, we won’t be doing room tidies for stays of less than 5 nights. We will leave a basket outside your room for any used items such as crockery and towels that you wish replaced, and a checklist for you to fill in if you need more teas, milk, biscuits etc.

Dining Room

The dining room enjoys beautiful views across the garden. As we only have a large table in the dining room we are staggering our breakfast times so guests aren’t at the table at the same time.

We ask that guests use the sanitiser provided before they come into the dining room. Please wear masks until you are seated at your table. We will wear masks to serve you.

Each guest will select their own choices for breakfast which would normally be on a buffet table and these will be served to you individually. There will still be homemade bread and I will bake fresh pastries if required.

If you aren’t keen to eat out and wish to order a takeaway meal and have it delivered to the house we will be happy to prepare the table in the dining room for you. Just leave the crockery on the table and we will clear away for you.
